from 41 countries across the 5 continents in the world
unanimously resolved to establish the International Buddhist Day
on April 8, the birthday of Lord Buddha, and to celebrate the day
with all the people in the world, wishing for world peace
and happiness of mankind.
On April 8, the International Buddhist Day, people in various parts of
the world wholeheartedly worship the statue of newborn Buddha
on the elephant with 6 tusks by putting their hands together
to be grateful for the advent of Lord Buddha.
